Full Bloom Story

Back in May of 2010, while flying home from a women’s conference in Liberia, I sensed the Lord whisper a phrase to my heart:

“Living in Full Bloom.”

I remember laughing to myself. I’m not a gardener—I don’t like getting dirty, hot, or sweaty. The phrase felt oddly placed. Still, I wondered if it might be meant for something later—maybe a book title one day—since Scripture speaks so often about planting, watering, pruning, and growth. So I tucked it away.

Years passed. Life unfolded with all the joy and heartbreak that comes with motherhood, adoption, foster care, and following God into deeper waters.

Then around 2019, something began stirring again.

As our family walked through a particularly difficult season, the Lord began opening my eyes to deeper truths about spiritual warfare, healing, identity, and authority—things I had not been taught growing up in church. What we were facing could not be explained away or solved with surface-level encouragement.

God didn’t just comfort us—He equipped us.

He sharpened our discernment. He deepened our understanding. We experienced dreams, spiritual insight, and moments that required wisdom and careful guidance, especially coming from a Baptist background. God was faithful to send mentors who helped us stay grounded, anchored in Scripture, and led by peace rather than fear.

Through it all, I came to realize that Living In Full Bloom had nothing to do with gardening—and everything to do with people.

Living in full bloom means

It’s about healing.
It’s about growth in broken places.
It’s about recognizing that many of us haven’t been taught how to navigate the unseen battles we’re facing—and that the enemy would love nothing more than for us to stay weary, wounded, or unaware.

Living in full bloom means learning to live with spiritual awareness, rooted identity, and daily dependence on God. It’s not about a quick devotional or checking a spiritual box. It’s about a lived, relational faith that anchors us in the middle of real life.

For families like ours—walking through adoption, foster care, trauma, and hope—Living In Full Bloom became more than a phrase. It became a lifeline. A declaration. A way of living.

Today, Living In Full Bloom exists as a faith-based practice and platform—offering encouragement, spiritual life coaching, resources, and speaking—to help women bloom in places they never expected to grow.

If you feel unseen, weary, or overwhelmed, you are not alone. And if you’re longing for something deeper—clarity, healing, alignment, or rest—you are welcome here.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
