Back in May of 2010, while flying home from a women’s conference in Liberia, I sensed the Lord whisper a phrase to my heart:
“Living in Full Bloom.”
I remember laughing to myself. I’m not a gardener—I don’t like getting dirty, hot, or sweaty. The phrase felt oddly placed. Still, I figured maybe it was meant to be a book title one day, since the Bible does talk about planting, watering, pruning, and growth. Even though I knew little about gardening, I could see how the idea might tie into spiritual truths. So I tucked it away.
Years passed. Life unfolded with all the joys and heartbreaks that come with motherhood, adoption, fostering, and following God into deeper waters. Then around 2019, something started stirring again. The Lord began waking me up—revealing deeper truths about spiritual warfare, healing, and what it means to truly walk in freedom and authority.
As our family faced deep trials, God didn’t just comfort us—He equipped us. He sharpened our spiritual senses. We began having dreams, supernatural encounters, and unexpected revelations that were completely new to us, especially coming from a Baptist background. Thankfully, God sent wise mentors to help us discern and grow.
Through it all, I came to realize that Living in Full Bloom had nothing to do with gardening—and everything to do with people.
It’s about healing.
It’s about growth in broken places.
It’s about recognizing that many of us haven’t been taught how to fight the real battles we’re facing—and that the enemy would love nothing more than for us to stay wounded and unaware.
Living in full bloom means keeping your spiritual radar tuned to a higher frequency. It’s not about a quick devotional or a casual prayer. It’s about daily, dependent, intimate relationship with God that anchors us for the spiritual battles all around us.
For families like ours, walking through adoption, foster care, trauma, and hope—Living In Full Bloom has become a lifeline. A declaration. A testimony.
Today, this faith-based platform exists to help others—especially women and parents—bloom in the places they never expected to grow. Through biblical encouragement, honest storytelling, practical tools, and speaking events, my prayer is that this space becomes a source of strength and life.
You may feel unseen, weary, or overwhelmed—but you are not alone.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
— John 10:10
